Halloween Carnival

Here's something fun for all of ya: it appears that I somehow landed the job of planning our ward's Halloween carnival this year. We usually have huge turnouts at these things, well, at least for the last three years I've lived here, and everyone has a great time. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas or advice on this matter - what kinds of activities should we plan? What do your kids like, if you have kids? Even if you don't, what would do you think would be fun? To trunk-or-treat or not? Whaddayathink?

Just cause the nursery crowd is so big these days, we should try to plan for some younger hands, we haven't typically had anything for them in earlier years. Some simple crafty or food thing. I will think about it more.

A couple of years ago we had a successful Halloween activity. Each axillary was in charge of coming up with two 'games'(that way you don't have to worry about that). The axillary's got class rooms and decorated them and played the games in the rooms. The kids went around room to room. Then there was a haunted house in half the gym and food/drinks in the other half. After about an hour or so of the games and what not, there was trunk or treat outside. Call me and I can give you better details.
